NPL: Nepal Premier League
Nepal Premier League (NPL) is an upcoming franchise-based Twenty20 cricket competition in Nepal. Organized by the Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN), the inaugural season is set to be held from November 30 to December 21, 2024.
The NPL is a significant step in Nepal’s cricket development, aiming to provide a platform for domestic players to showcase their skills and attract international attention. The tournament will feature multiple teams competing in a round-robin format, with the top teams advancing to the playoffs.
One of the unique aspects of the NPL is its focus on promoting local cricket talent. By providing a platform for young and emerging players to compete at a high level, the NPL aims to nurture the next generation of Nepali cricketers. This will help to strengthen the national team and improve Nepal’s performance in international competitions.
